Who I am

Melvin Tu is an Australian composer based in Sydney, specializing in cinematic, orchestral, and trailer music. With a strong focus on trailer soundtracks and television music, he has built an extensive and dynamic catalog that is frequently heard across international screens.

Melvin writes for an array of world-class publishers. His notable partnerships include Giant Apes, Phantom Power, Audio Attack, Pacific Standard Creative, Ninja Tracks, and APL Publishing, having contributed his unique sounds to numerous high-profile industry albums. His compositions resonate on a global scale, with his television music featured in major broadcasts such as Life Below Zero, Dengineers (UK), Speedway Grand Prix and many more.

Beyond his work in trailers and TV, Melvin loves crafting narrative scores for film and digital media. He recently scored award-winning film Until the Sky Falls Quiet, as well as Livin' The Dream and The Undesirables. Currently, he's writing the music for Crazy Broke Asian, an upcoming viral web series.
